Claude Giron
Claude GIRON was born in France in 1969 and graduated from the Paris conservatory in 1991 where she obtained a 1st prize in cello (class of Roloand Pidoux) and 1st prize inchamber music (class of Michel Strauss). She, then, went to study at Yale University (USA) with Aldo Parisot and the Tokyo String Quartet. She graduated in 1993 with a Master of Music and 1994 with an Artist Diploma. She came back to France and got in the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France (one of the two french radio orchestras). And in 1999, she got in the Orchestre de Paris. Along with orchestra playing career, she spends most of her time, playing chamber music, particularly string quartet and chamber orchestra. She joined European Camerata Chamber Orchestra 10 years ago and finds there a great complement to symphony orchestra. Playing without conductor, in a smaller group requires more precision and more personnal investment. Also, you get to know more personnaly the others musicians and with a group like European Camerata, international, you have to melt with different cultures and different backgrounds and that ‘s what makes it so interesting.
