Ulrike Kipp
Ulrike Salter-Kipp was born in Hameln, Germany and began learning the violin at the age of seven. She studied with Atila Aydintan at the Hochschule fur Musik in Hannover and in London with David Takeno and Simon Fischer at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. As a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra from 1991-96 she played under many of the worlds leading conductors. Professionally she has worked for NDR Radio Philharmonic in Hannover, Orquestra de Ciudad Granada, Garsington Opera, Glyndebourne Touring Opera, London Mozart Players, London Symphony Orchestra, The Philharmonia and The European Community Chamber Orchestra.
In 2006 Ulrike got a position as 3rd Leader in the Odense Symfoni Orkester, Denmark.
Her solo performances include Concertos with the Werningeroder Kammerorchester, London Concert Sinfonia, Hounslow Symphony Orchestra, Georgian Camerata, London Soloists Chamber Orchestra and Odense Symfoni Orkester. She appeared regularly as a soloist with the Belmont Ensemble of London around the U.K. including concerts at St.John’s, Smith Square, the Purcell Room and St.Martin-in-the-Fields.
As a keen chamber musician Ulrike received coaching from the Vellinger and Takacs Quartets, has been playing in various Ensembles in Germany, the UK and Denmark, was a member in the European Soloists Ensemble, and enjoys playing with the European Camerata since its beginning in 1997.
