Tom Norris
Tom Norris is a versatile musician, equally passionate about chamber music, orchestral playing and solo projects. As a principal member of the LSO since 2003, Tom works with the world's greatest conductors and soloists, with regular appearances in USA, Far East and Europe. His chamber music collaborations include the LSO Chamber Ensemble, The Schubert Ensemble, Living Room In London, and The Puertas Quartet, who in their first year together reached the semi-finals of the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition.
Tom studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with David Takeno and Jack Glickman, where he was a prizewinner in the prestigious Noel Millidge Prize, and was in attendance at IMS Prussia Cove studying with Lorand Fenyves. He went on to study at Banff Centre for the Arts, in Canada, and was invited as a soloist to play with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
Tom is also a songwriter, and has recently released his first solo album, 'Edge Of The World'.
