Kate Robinson
Kate studied at the Royal College of Music with Rodney Friend and she graduated with a first class honours degree. She has since been enjoying a successful career as a freelance London musician and the majority of her work is with The English Chamber Orchestra. Other groups she works with include The Scottish Chamber Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philharmonia, The English National Opera, Opera North, The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, The City of London Sinfonia, The English Sinfonia and of course The European Camerata. Kate has performed as a chamber musician in The Wigmore Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Conway hall and St Martins in the Fields. She has also had solo radio broadcasts on Radio 3 and Classic FM. As well as classical music, Kate enjoyes a variety of musical genres and has performed with The Gorillaz and recorded for The Brand New Heavies and Tory Amos and played on film soundtracks that include Attonement and A Mighty Heart. Kate also performs regularly with her bluegrass band The Wagon Tales.
